Shopping (off the beaten track) sxm?

I'm wondering what shopping is available in sxm. Not looking for tourist shops (live in the vi, been there, done that). I've seen an antiques shop in simpons bay, anyhting else like that, or department stores, etc? Or fabric stores? Art supplies? All the websites I've seen are electronics and jewelry..

You really need to go downtown to Philipsburg or Marigot and walk around and you will find many unique type stores. There is a flee type market in Marigot every Wednesday and Saturday.

Reply:OK for art supplies go to Van Dorp Edine in Simpson Bay it is located close to the Shell gas station. and for fabric try Idris Fashions on Cannigieter Street it is just before you reach the Chippie Cafe or you can also go on the Bush Road at the Upholstery store Pete's Upholstery .
