my brother lives in nyc so im goin school shopping up there %26amp; i would like to find looks that set me apart from my abercrombied classmates. (no offense to a%26amp;f) i will probably have a weekend to shop and would like to know if there are any stores i should check out. i typically shop at delias, forever21, charlotte russe...etc.. i already visited the streets where those stores were..i think it was in the 30's or 40's. also, if there are any really cool shoe places, im looking for cute flats and boots!

hmm, so you want an eclectic and unique look? i would say travel downtown to the village and check out local boutiques rather than corporate stores like the ones you mentioned.
i dont know any off the top of my head, but perhaps that is good. you find the best stuff that no one else has in the village boutiques. check em out! (if driving, go to West 4th street and start from there)
Reply:8th ave in chelsea has lots of stores/boutiques--so does the west village. 8th st off of 6th towards broadway is known for shoe stores--has a ton of them.
if you're looking for more discounted stuff (not sure you are) there's daffy's on 19/broadway or herald sq. and Century 21 downtown (across the street from the world trade center site)
