Who hates shopping at walmart??

And why do you hate shopping at walmart??

I hate shopping at walmart because they seem to always be out of something and they have a small selection of products to choose from and they don't have enough workers for all the registers....

Who hates shopping at walmart??
you must live in b.f.e.
Reply:I hate Wal-Mart.

Always too crowded.

They are always out of something on my list.

If other stores are having a good sale on a product, WM pulls it off their shelves so they don't have to match the competitor's price.

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service.
Reply:i love walmart!!!
Reply:i dont hate it but i think there stuff is cheap....... no offense 2 ne walmart luverz out there! =)
Reply:I do. My God. 90% of the people who shop there- they do not bathe, they do not wipe after they crap, and they do not use deoderant.

Know why?

They're too busy shopping at Wal-Mart
Reply:OMG!! Wal-mart is terrible!!! Whenever my mom goes there, she gets into a fight with one of the workers there. They all have a bad attitude!!
Reply:I only like the one near me. We have another super walmart in the city, but they are too big and too crowded. The only thing that is bothering me about the one near me at the moment is that their photo center is out of order. When I finally need a roll of film developed, I can't get it done.

Another thing about the one near me, they usually have a good photo center, which is why I go there. I don't trust any other walmart with my film.
Reply:. its like turn up the ac in their. i hate walmart in niagara falls it is always so hot in their. + the people are so rude that i want to knock their heads off. i think the sams club next door is better.

Shopping list!!help!!?

so im going shopping shopping tom nd i have $2000

i was wondering if anyone could give me a quick shopping list?

thnx

Shopping list!!help!!?
one cashier's check made out to me and i'll take care of the shopping myself, so you can kick back and relax,,
Reply:Easy enough. Buy consumables in bulk.

Example:

Toilet paper(case)

Shampoo/Conditioner 5 bottles each

Paper Towel(case)

Deoderant -6

Toothpaste/brushes 10/5

Soap-2 packs of 24

Hand lotion-4

Plastic wrap-3

Aluminum foil-4

Plastic storage bags-2 of each size med/large/xlarge

I am sure you are getting the general idea. Buying in bulk has its advantages. Less trips to store(saves gas). You have it on hand. Only resupply when needed. You could do this with canned goods such as veggies/coffee...etc.....

Downside: storing it. Unless you have the space; buying in bulk could be problematic. Keeping the paper goods dry could cause problems. Plan it out.....if you decide to.

Shopping help?

I am going shopping in the mall of america in minniaplis this tuesday! I want to try and buy a new wardrobe and i like to shop anwhere but mostly hollister! What are some main things i should buy for a wardrobe? Also any shopping tips? Im 14 and going with my mom! ahaha

I personally have never got a "new" wardrobe but I have transitioned gradually. For shopping tips I would suggest:

Comfortable Shoes (this sounds dorky but trust me when you have been walking around the mall for four hours, pumps can hurt)

Cute Purse (even if you dont find anything in a store, you can walk out of there with all of the grace and composure you want as long as you have a bag, plus you can carry cameras, cellphones and A WALLET.)

Comfortable Clothes (see comfortable shoes)

Thats All.

Shopping SOS!!! Please Answer!?

For my birthday I am going shopping, my mom is giving me 100$ as a birthday present, I have 20$ in allowance, and my dad is giving me 20$ since I have had all A's for 3 semsesters. I will have a total of 140$. I am going on Wendsday, my birthday is going to be around a week later. We were going to go on the weekend before my birthday but since it is break we figured it would be better to go on a weekday cuz most of the good privitly owned stores are on open on weekdays. We are going to a fairly large city with a outdoor shopping mall , like with stores like Saks and more normal stores like Abercrombie, we are also going to a more exclusive part of town with small book stores and varity shops with Webkinz, Vera bradly, ect. I don't need clothes and I rather get smaller things in a larger quanity than 1 large thing. , what do you think I should get? I love reading! feel free to include links anything to help! I can't open presents until my b-day! I am going to be 12 I am very girly!

Ok back to the question.

So if you don't need any clothes to buy, you could get about 8-9 webkinz! (LOL jokess) Or if your room is bigg like mine you could decorate your room some more with posters, and stuff like that. : )

If you LOVE art like me than I would go to the art shop and buy some sweeeet paints and markers.

Or you could buy stuff for you hair... OMG! theres soooo many things you can buy!!!

And yes. I'm a girl... Orr am I??? LOL!!!

-- I sort of like the Pink Bag... : )
Reply:you should try claire's or icing they have really cute jewlery makeup and other stuff

if you like reading go to barnes and noble or borders
Reply:You could always buy something Vera Bradley :D
Reply:If you plan on going to stores like Abercrombie, expect to purchase 1, maybe 2 things with 140 dollars. (such as two t-shirts, or a shirt and flipflops or bag etc.)

Stores like, Saks, coach - you might not be able to afford one. :( (such as a bag, or a top, or sunglasses)
Reply:if it were me, i would buy things like purses and maybe shoes, but thats just me:)

Christians and atheists....your shopping habits.?

I recently heard about a very popular department store that refused to use the word "Christmas" during the Christmas shopping season. They chose to use the phrase "Holiday Shopping" instead so they wouldn't offend people who might come into shop that didn't believe in the concept of Christmas. Christians, if you knew this about a store, would you still do your shopping there or would you just go to a different store that was equally as popular that didn't have such a problem with the word Christmas? As for atheists, if one of your favorite stores refused to use the term "Holiday Shopping" in order to show their support for Christmas how would you respond? Would you still shop someplace knowing that there is a very good possibility that the owner of that huge store is quite possibly a Christian? And we all know what very wealthy coorporate people donate to, right? Obviously to the things they believe in. Those donations come directly from the shoppers themselves really.

Christians and atheists....your shopping habits.?
This is an interesting question.

Personally, I wouldn't mind shopping at a store that refused to say the word Christmas. Atheists and Christians both, we are all going to a store for the same reason right? For the season.
Reply:I could care less what they say on their signs/advertisements. Most of the stores that will bow to political correctness like that are not stores I shop at to begin with. I do think it is ridiculous though...
Reply:My favorite is this dialog I hear a lot:

"People shouldn't get offended by two simple words, like 'Merry Christmas', that is why i get offended by the two words 'Happy Holidays' "

I don't really care what the store says. I go to places that I agree with on a business and economic level. But I do think it shows a certain level of class if they are going to make an effort to include everyone, including non-Christians.
Reply:Wal-Mart is what you are referring to and this is America. They have, unfortunately, taken God out of everything and I am still living here. That's like saying, "Parents, since they have taken prayer out of school would you still educate your kids?" It makes me wonder how long it will be before they remove "In God We Trust" from our money or even change our country's motto, "One Nation Under God." All I can do is keep God in my life.
Reply:I don't do holiday or Christmas shopping, not because of the Christian tradition, but because I have never had a real interest in holidays. But hypothetically, it would be rather idiotic of me to refuse to shop at a place because they used the word "Christmas", when I am in need of buying someone I love something for the holidays. And especially when Christmas is a very commercial holiday and thousands of people do not celebrate the "Christian tradition" anyway.
Reply:If you won't shop somewhere just because they won't cater to your religion or lack of religion, then you have FAR too little to worry about.

Let me give you something better to do with your time.
Reply:It wouldn't matter to me one way or another. It's not like Christmas has anything to do with christianity anyway.
Reply:I love Kristmas!
Reply:christmas is a christian holiday, i'm not gonna take that away from them.
Reply:My shopping is dictated by coupons and low prices, not meaningless holiday terms.

Now I just need a coupon for some Babby.
Reply:Um, I wouldn't care..
Reply:Really? It depends on their prices and the quality of customer service. A lot of people use "Holiday" instead of "Christmas" and being Christian, it doesn't bother me. It shows these places are more tolerant and open minded of other religions and for those who do not believe at all.

Shopping scam i think i have it worked out now xxx?

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don’t be naive enough to think it couldn’t happen to you or your friends.

Here’s how the scam works.

Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say “No” and instead ask you for a ride to another shopping center. You agree and they get in the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen on December 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, %26amp; 24th. Also January 1st, 4th, twice on the 8th, then on the 22rd, %26amp; 23rd and very likely this coming weekend.

SHOPPING! Any stores you think I should visit while I'm at the US (West)?

I'm taking my first visit to the US for 3 weeks. We're traveling mostley on the West Coast and what my dad is having us do, is pack 4 days worth of clothes and the rest will be the clothes we shop for on the way. I get around $3-350 to spend at each stop (i.e. LA, Vegas, etc.) and I'm not too familiar on places to go.

I'm not too complicated, I'm a teenager. Dark jeans, plain polos, and an occasional hoodie are big staples in my wardrobe. Anything fun to consider would be...fun to consider. =D

I also want to find something nice for someone special. She usually wears short Chinese silk dresses (and some pants once in a while =P) but maybe the US isn't the right place for that. But I guess anything she might like would be nice to hear about.

If you could link some sites of clothes or stores I'm bound to run in to, that'd be great. I'm just working on my shopping list at the moment.

This is going to be one hell of a shopping trip...

Shopping in downtown NYC?

I am going to Max Brenner's in Union Square for brunch. I would love to go shopping afterwards in the downtown area. What are some store where I can shop for clothes?. I'm not looking for knockoffs but I don't want anything too expensive like the boutiques in SOHO either.

Please don't give me areas, I'm familiar with NY. I'm looking for names of stores or addresses with lots of shops around them. I get tired of walking up and down streets only to find one or two stores of interest. I'm petitie and looking for work and casual clothes.

Thanks for your help.

Shopping in downtown NYC?
Best place for Downtown Shopping will be:

Inside World Financial Building (On North-South End Avs between Vesey %26amp; Liberty Sts.

Century 21 (Church St/Broadway)

NYC Visit shopping guide will tell you the names of stores and location in Downtown Manhattan.

ENJOY SHOPPING!!
Reply:Right around the corner from Max Brenner is a Forever 21 store (on 14th Street). Right upstairs from that is a Filene's, which has great deals on clothes for work.

After that, I would walk downtown on Broadway below Houston - on that strip you will find H%26amp;M, Armani Exchange, Puma, Adidas (actually Adidas is just on the north side of Houston), Old Navy, Pearl River and plenty of smaller stores.
Reply:union square? well u can walk a little bit to 34th st and they have macys, gap, modells, victorias secret, daffys, payless, H%26amp;M, and aeropostale
Reply:If you want a discount Marshalls/TJ Max sort of experience go to Century 21 on Church Street.

If you want something more youthful and trendy go to Yellow Rat Bastard at 478 Broadway.

Shopping in London, England?

Where do you recommend to go shopping in London, England? We want to go to traditional shops, not interested in shopping malls. Also not very expensive.

Also looking for a very English bookshop. Will make use of public transport.

Shopping in London, England?
Good for you! Shopping malls are the same old, everywhere!

You can't get more traditionally English than Fortnum and Mason's on Piccadilly!

http://www.fortnumandmason.com/Our-Histo...

Next door to Fortnum's is Hatchards, the bookstore, selling books since 1797.

http://www.hatchards.co.uk/index.cfm?pag...

Foyles, on Charing Cross Road, is probably my favourite.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foyles

While you're in Piccadilly, the Royal Academy is worth a visit if there's an exhibition on you're interested in. Just opposite Fortnum's. And a little walk down towards Green Park is the Ritz Hotel.

Famous stores include Selfridges on Oxford Street; Liberty, which is just off Oxford Circus on Great Marlborough Street/Regent Street; Harrods and Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge (they're just a few minutes' walk apart) - and I can't think of any more! We've been overtaken by phone warehouses and chains.

Oh, I also recommend a visit to Borough Market, open (I think) on Fridays and Saturdays. It's a food market, and you can sample and eat fairly cheaply there. It's on the South Bank - turn left crossing the Millennium Bridge at St Paul's, and turn left, following the signs. You'll also pass the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and the Golden Hinde.

Enjoy your visit.
Reply:Thank you! Tea at the Ritz it is, then... Report It

Reply:There is a bookstore in Oxford, England called Blackwell's that is rather well known. It has a nice selection of travel books nestled away in one corner, so if it's transportation that's troubling you -- you'll know where to locate it.
Reply:You don't say what you want to buy -- but here are some ideas I hope you'll like.

For top quality designer clothes (second-hand but you'd never know) try The Dresser (10 Porchester Place, W2, near the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street). Always worth looking through -- I've come away with some classy bargains.

And for men's clothes Albam (at 23 Beak Street, W1) is a brilliant new find: unlike most, the clothes they sell are UK manufactured, with an eye to quality and detail.

It's also worth doing as Londoners do, and browsing through big department stores such as Selfridges: these days, their winter and summer sales almost merge with their mid-season clearances, so you can often find some very good reductions.

Bookshops....

For the most interesting "very English" bookshops, clustered neatly together in the heart of town, explore Charing Cross Road (WC2) and its side-roads such as Cecil Court, between Leicester Square station and Tottenham Court Road. There are lots of specialist bookshops -- plus Foyles (at one time the largest bookshop in the UK and still almost a national institution.)

Also worth visiting -- particularly since you're interested in saving some money -- is Keith Fawkes' wonderful second-hand bookshop in Flask Walk in Hampstead (come out of the tube station, turn left; Flask Walk is the first turning on the left, a little pedestrianised street).

Have a great time browsing and buying!

Love from a native Londoner. =D
Reply:Try the markets: Portobello Road, Camden Market, Spitalfields Market for interesting shopping.

There's a list here too for other interesting markets:

http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/markets...

For the bookshops, you can try these. But im sure there's plenty more:

Shopping question for boys and girls?

How do shopping experiences differ between girls and boys for retail shops and web-shopping

Shopping question for boys and girls?
few boys webshop, im defianteyl addicted to it though, girls usually do it quite a bit more, in mall there are 2 types of guys.

1) the ponderer, he will look over everything and make a careful decision, and usually will do alot of calculations to make sure he can get everything he needs.

2) get in and get out guy, they will go in, if it fits ,or they like the look of it (its rare for these types of guys to get both right...) usually on the cheaper side of clothing, or they stick to stuff they know they wont be mad efun of in by most people (ae, a%26amp;f, hollister)

girls theres thhe express shopper, in out fast, gets everything, always has enough cash, they get the whole mall and still have time to hit the food court

or the one who hits a few good stores and then kina leaves, shops more often but gets less everytime.

What are good shopping streets in Dublin??

I go to dublin alot but the only good shopping streets that I know are Henry Street and Grafton Street and all the shops in between the two. Are there any other good shopping streets around that i didn't notice. I want a proper shopping street with well known brand shops like hmv, river island, topman, etc

What are good shopping streets in Dublin??
go to Dundrum !

Its outside of the city centre....It is my favorite place to shop ever...I drive from Waterford to shop there!! you will get river island, topman H%26amp;M there and so much more...youve got the same taste as me, so i promise, you will love it just have a look at the list of shops !!

http://dundrum.ie/
Reply:Not really, you've covered most of them with Henry St and Grafton St, to be honest. You should try one of the shopping centres, like Dundrum or Liffey Valley. They both have loads of brand name stores, especially Liffey Valley.

Edit: Also, if you haven't already, you can try streets adjoining the ones above, like Wicklow St, Dame St and Georges St. But your best bet is still the ones you already know.
Reply:if you want same old same old river island and all that craic then oconnell street, grafton and henry are where you want to be. for something a bit different try the temple bar area....urban outfitters, the harlaquin, eager beaver.
Reply:Most of Dublin 4 and Jervis Street is good.

= )
Reply:Dublin's most famous shopping street is the (mostly) pedestrianised Grafton Street, which runs between St. Stephen's Green and Trinity College.
Reply:Grafton Street is the big one so you already knew that

Also go to the Temple Bar area, they have loads of cool shops like urban outfitters

Try this

http://www.dublinks.com/index.cfm/loc/5-...

Is info about all the big Irish shops, which are like their version of our big ones like topshop and h%26amp;m

Also a little tip, see if you can go to Bewleys cafe on Grafton Street while your there, its awesome

Good Luck

Shopping has become predictable...help?

i used to love shopping so much but now its so dull...i mean i used to love hot topic but that place is so mainstream i try to stay as far as possible. but lately i just let the clothes come to me. it worked a few times. or start looking online maybe.
Reply:try going to some new stores, or find new places online. interpunk.com has a lot of awesome clothes and music.

or get a CCS catalog. they have a boys and girls catalog and its full of skating, snowboarding, and normal clothes.

i suggest these since they both have some similar things to Hot Topic

Do you like shopping alone? I used to, or usually never mind shopping alone or with good company.

Today I feel like shopping, and I've got no one to go with me... and I feel so bored to go alone... unlike myself!

Reply:Well, it doesn't really matter.

I go with my parents, and I walk/ browse with my mom.

I like to go with my friends, but like, I don't like to have them wait and stuff when I like this one store and go in and stuff. And sometimes, some of my friends don't have money or do't have enough, so if they see me buy stuff, they might ask me to pay for them. Not that I wouldn't mind, but they don't pay me back, and usually, they get pricey stuff.
Reply:Even though I like going places with friends, I prefer to go shopping alone. It's just so much quicker - you go to the shops you like and pick the things you like and go. If you go with friends, they will tell you things like "this shirt doesn't suit you" and then pick up something you don't like.
Reply:would much rather shop alone
Reply:I LOVE to go shopping alone! That way I can browse as long as I want and don't have to worry about going along with someone else's schedule.
Reply:I do love shopping alone sometimes it's when I find the best deals and I can spend as much time as I like at whatever store I want. I like to have company every now and then but I'm pretty good on my own.
Reply:I know i am strange but i hate to shop, maybe it has to do with working retail for most of my life.
Reply:sometimes shopping alone can get boring but i can take my daughters or friends with me so no.
Reply:Sometimes i actually prefer to shop alone. I can spend as much time in whatever store i want and not feel guilty if i spend more then the other person! Plus if its my husband going with theres alot more complaining and huffing.
Reply:Are you kidding? I absolutely LOVE shopping by myself! I can take as long as I want in every store %26amp; don't have to worry about waiting for anyone or anyone waiting for me. It makes me feel like I own the mall or something, or like I'm on this big scavenger hunt. Plus I love the time to myself %26amp; not being on a schedule.
Reply:I prefer to shop alone. It is a great way to escape and you can spend as much or as little time as you want browsing stores/items.
Reply:Why didn't you ask your sister to go along with you?
Reply:I like shopping alone...especially when Dad gives me an allowance!
Reply:No way
Reply:I love to shop alone - its one of the few things that I get to do by myself. Its a nice feeling.
Reply:I don't mind shopping alone, but I like having my boyfriend go with me, and he doesn't mind =)
Reply:Well, shopping alone is better sometimes because you are 'free', and you don't have to beg your companion to come with you to the shoe store or anything, and you can spend as much as you want. On the contrary, shopping with a friend is nice because you can ask for advice.

Try calling one of your friends in the neighborhood and see if they're in the mood to go shopping with you?
Reply:i hateee shopping alone...i lovveee to get the imput of my friends on stuff b4 i buy them...and its good to have some companyyyyy♥

However, if you hate shoe SHOPS, there are several great websites you can order shoes from. I've listed one below that I really like, and the best part about it is free returns (including shipping) if you don't like it. You can do a search on Yahoo! or Google for shoes and find several other sites.

Shopping dilema?

so i have one friend who is dying to go shopping with me. i am also dying to go shopping. lets call her friend 1. now my second friend who is total "fashion is crap" was on the phone w/me and i said i was going shopping tomorrow. i am, but i havent told friend 1 yet. friend 2 said she wanted to come. i was really confused because she buys ALL her clothes from Goodwill. i'm afraid to go with her and friend 1 because i think friend 2 will be bored to death and regret wanting to come. and i'm also embarrased to be seen with her. i know thats bad but she has glasses, pimples, and her hair is permanently frizzy. who do i invite? friend 1, friend 2, or both? and if friend 2 how can i ignore her "frizzy hair and whatnot" when we walk into say, american eagle???? WHAT DO I DO?????

Shopping dilema?
i think that u shuld invite both of them on different days and try to give friend two a makeover and get her better clothes or at least get her good clothes from goodwill
Reply:You're not a very good friend if you can't deal with someone's frizzy hair, glasses, and pimples. She can't help that she needs glasses or pimples. That is just how she is built. If you are her friend, you wouldn't be embarrassed to be with her and would want to be with her regardless. Maybe your friend 2 wants to come because she LIKES being with you... Besides she is the one who wants to come so why not let her?

If you are embarrassed to be around her and don't like being around her, do her a favour and don't be her friend anymore.
Reply:yup i agree with nikki k
Reply:Do two days of course! First, take friend 1 w/you, and have a shopping spree. For friend two, ask her if she wants a makeover, and if she agrees to it, go ahead, and make her over?
Reply:when u go shopping with friends 2, try to give her a makeover, so u won't be embarsed.
Reply:lol ive been in this situation before. ok, so make friend 2 your fashion project. It is so much fun. Be like, "hey, lets go shopping and pick out really cute outfits to wear." then invite her over to your house, and give eachother makeovers. Every girl can be stunningly beautiful, some just need more work : ) make sure you aren't mean about it, and approuch it from a friend-like way. Then invite friend 1 over, and all three of you can go shopping. hows that? have fun honney : )
Reply:you should go with them both.maybe you'll have a good time after all,its only 1 day for a couple hrs,not a whole life time.since you guys are going to have something like a girls day out,you and friend 1 should take her for a surprise make-over.take her out for a facial, get her a nice outfit thats not goodwill (it doesn't have to be expensive, its the thought that counts)and get her hair done, blow dryed or flat ironed..she can be princess for a day!lol!
Reply:if it is ok with mom- see if u can split the days and take friend 1 one day and friend 2 the other. Good luck.

Shopping Trip?

I'm going first-day-of-school-clothes shopping next week, and my parents said I could invite one person, and one person only. The problem is, I have two best friends, Mary and Rachel. I actually kinda would rather bring Mary because:

1. Her dad says she can't go school shopping until a week after school starts.

2. She says she already has the money.

3. She shops at the same stores as I do.

But... I want Rachel to come too because even though we're best buds, I've only been friends with her for about a year, and we haven't hung out as much as I'd like. But...I still sorta want Mary to come more.

So...should I just take one person, or take none at all? I'm afraid the other will feel left out if I take just one person.

What should I do?

Do you think the shopping centres here are a bit boring?

well, i mean there are nothing really interesting..you know

just the same old shops selling the same old items?

and most shopping centres near the city have lots of shops that sell expensive things...

anyway, which is the shopping centre you'd nominate for the 'Best Shopping Centre Award', if there's one?

I'd say it would be either Plaza Singapura or Causeway point.

and which shopping centre to you recommend to be unique?

Do you think the shopping centres here are a bit boring?
To be honest I am not really impressed with Causeway Point I have found better stores in Sun Plaza %26amp; Northpoint. Vivo City is suppose to be incredible and a good place to go.

I do see what you ar saying because after awhile it does get boring being the same old everywhere.
Reply:Personally , I think all are boring , well for a fact that we have been staying here all our life, we shop there everytime and thus its boring . no personal shop for me
Reply:when you have so much money to spend on shopping, every shopping centres are not a bore.
Reply:They are quite okay... But too many phone shops!!! I think the best ones are Tampines Mall and Junction 8. :D
Reply:i don't know i never go to any shopping centre
Reply:Jurong Point was nominated best centre last year so you might want go go check it out ?
Reply:there isn't any nice and good shopping centres. i do most of my shopping either when im overseas or online. i hardly go shopping. (: but i am such a clothes fanatic.
Reply:Some shopping centres are boring but not all.

Plaza Singapura and Causeway Point are boring, what, they have the same old shops like Charles and Keith, John Little, MacDonalds etc.

Some unique shopping are City Plaza or People's Park. I was at Chinatown yesterday and I bought a suit and two pairs of shoes! Cheap and good, unlike those shops in Orchard. It's getting more and more difficult to find things that are cheap and good. Sometimes, the shops that target teenagers are not cheap but not good too! Like Forever 21 and the shops at Far East Plaza, not cheap at all and the quality is so bad.
Reply:Exactly.

That's what happens when living in the city isn't it? Like I can almost tell where other girls shop just by looking at their clothes, lol=P
Reply:User Preference.

Depends on what you normally do at shopping centres.
Reply:It is actually kind of boring...but i i have to choose i will pick Marina Square.

Its big enough, all types of shops are there. You can watch movies, play bowling, snooker but 1 thing it thats not there is ice skating ring..lol
Reply:Wells, actually, is just a place to spent your time... dun think too much...

Shopping in Pattaya?

hi, what are the shops / malls available for shopping in pattaya? I am going to be for a limited time in pattaya and may not get a chance to shop in bangkokk so will I get the same stuff of bangkokk in pattaya? will the pattaya prices be more than bangkokk? Where can i get givenchy sunglasses in pattaya?

pl help!

Shopping in Pattaya?
There are two major shopping centers on Beach Road, Mikes Shopping Center is one of them, the other is about 2 blocks towards Walking Street (the ships anchored out) from Mikes. Behind Mikes Shopping Center on 2nd Road about 3 blocks to the left (back towards Mikes) is the local market. Big C is on 2nd Road toward the northern end of town. Do a map search of Pattaya and a good tourist map will have the shopping areas marked. I would assume the prices in Pattaya are a little cheaper then Bangkok but that is just a guess. Regardless of where you get stuff, bargain, then bargain some more. Don't be afraid to tell them you'll give them xxx price, the most they can say it they don't bargain. Enjoy.
Reply:Pattaya is packed with shops, finding genuine Givenchy sunglasses will not be difficult at all.

I find Pattaya more expensive than Bangkok for shopping.

They sell very similar items so it should be okay.
Reply:You can buy anything in Pattaya really cheap. There are also some really nice shopping centers like malls.

The best deals are clothing, shoes, and jewelry.
Reply:There are many many street vendors where you can buy just about anything you want. There is also a 4 story shopping mall on the main street in Pattaya. Please don't be shy to negotiate on all prices and items if you shop at a street stall. The "stuff" is "same, same" (favorite Thai expression) as you would find in Bangkok.

There are many independent stores as well on Walking Street but be prepared for the many ladies of the night possibly interacting with you. Have a blast!

Shopping on black frieday after thanksgiving?
I just got hom a little while ago from my black Friday Extraveganza! WOW . For starters you want to go asap there were people lind around the stores waiting for them to open! Most sales end at !pm Today. Id Go to Merveyns if you want clothes ... Gifts for parents at Gotchalks ... Zumiez and all those stores are having sales ... Everything trendy! Id go to those places first! then Id try Best Buy Or Walmart! Have Fun!
Reply:WALMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Do yourself a favor and shop online. Going into any store today is suicide.
Reply:The good deals are over by now- they started at like 5am and end at about 8am.
Reply:Most really good deals end when the store opens or sale begins. This morning I went to Staples to buy a laptop and they were sold out. I arrived there at a couple minutes after the store opened, which was at 6:00AM and the laptops were sold out. I guess some people began waiting at 2:00AM. The store had 40 in stock when it opened.
Reply:go there first and get Japanese cherry blossom
Reply:Go to pretty much any major department store for deals.
Reply:All stores have great deals. All stores have big crowds. Try shopping at supper-time, it's usually a little less busy, as people take a break to eat.

Shopping for a tall boyfriend?

I'm shopping for my new boyfriend. He's 6'9" tall. Does anyone have suggestions for any stores that have "tall-people" clothes?

- I do internet shopping more than in store shopping.

- He likes outdoorsy-type clothes.

Shopping help?

I have a serious shopping problem. I am pretty small, so clothes are hard to find. Plus, whenever I buy something I return it within a week. I am like scared of shopping and I'm a teen girl. Every other girl I know loves shopping. Has anyone ever been like me? Any advice?

Shopping help?
Well, find the perfect fit first, so you won't have to return it. Make sure you like it before you buy it, of course.

And try to remember the root of your problem. Why do you hate shopping? Was it a childhood fear? Did something bad happen when you were shopping once?
Reply:only thing is explore and stuff thats what i did and I also wasnt scared of what people thought if its cool its cool dont let anyone write your life story
Reply:I have that same problem. I am only 5' tall, but am about a size 8 so I have to get all of my clothes hemmed. Sometimes I get frustrated with how difficult it is to find clothes and return them. Especially shoes which never seem to fit right. Try to buy thing you like that fit you in the hips and butt and you can get them hemmed for relatively cheap. Take a relaxing day out just to have fun. Don't feel pressure into buying clothes too quickly or you'll just return them. Finally, be confident in your decisions. If you like it, and it makes you happy even for a short time, it was worth the money.

Shopping IN Bangkok?

HEy peeps..Im going to bangkok in january and i need all the information i can get. Apart from MBK shopping centre, what other great shopping centres can i go too that have a wide range of CHEAP stuff. any road side shopping hunts too? if yes to both questions, please provide me with the exact name of the place.THANKS!

Shopping IN Bangkok?
Yes, try BONANZA PLAZA, just a 3 - 4 storeys high building, very near in MBK shopping mall. It is just a 5 - 10 mins, using the overhead bridge as a linkage. This plaza is just opposite Swensens %26amp; HardRock Cafe (Bangkok). You can ask around the local people if you can't find your way there.

The things that they sell are very affordable and nice. You can shoes, bags, clothes, soft toys, women accessories %26amp; etc. What's more amazing is there are shops who sells school uniforms to the students in the nearby schools. I'm sure you'll like this small shopping mall.

Apart from Bonaza Plaza, nearby shops are in Siam square area and you can find alot of small shops along the streets, which sell fashionable clothings and accessories too. Be delighted and enjoy shopping here too! But the prices are more expensive because most the shops are owned by their local designers.

Last but not least, Chatuchak is my FAVE and I'm sure you'll like it too. But don't forget to wear lesser (not explictly), coz sometimes it can be quite hot squeezing in between all the small stores inside the place. Have fun shopping in BKK!!!
Reply:hey, i'm going to Bangkok in February! in fact, take a look at my profile. I asked a similar question a few weeks ago and got some very good and detailed information. It's under the questions i created.

here you go, i'd hate for you to look into the big list:

great place to go. bangkok is my favorite big city in the world, not that i would want to spend much time there. if you have any trouble breathing stay out of bangkok. it will be 90 F. and humid in feb. when you need a break hit the water taxi, a ferry line that goes up and down the chao phrai river; cool fresh breezes on the water, and a reasonable way to get from one part of town to another as well as to see the sights.

mentioned above is Khao san Road. khao san means white rice and is another way of saying street of the european youth, it's kinda like being at a grateful dead show. this is where you will find cheap travel opps, crappy restaurants, and over-priced bars full of european youth waiting for travel connections. eating around here is best done from street vendors which take over at 5pm. most rooms around here are booked by noon.

Sukhumvit is known as the world longest street, it starts downtown and goes halfway to cambodia. between soi 15 and 20 (cross streets) you will find large international hotels where you could pay easily over 100 US, or find a small chinese hotel in the neighborhood for 10 US or less. this is a good area to stay, many embassies in the vicinity, many good restaurants.

once again, i love bangkok, but if you have more than 2 days get the heck outa town. your lungs will thank you and your heart will never forget. if you have a few days or more get to the beach.

be advised, bangkok has a highly developed sex trade. thailand also has the highest incidence of aids in asia. this means ALL sex trade workers must be suspected of having hiv!

oh yeah, the elevated train. don't miss your chance to save yourself a two hour cab ride across town, instead, get the train, very modern, clean, and always on time. you would be a fool to rent a car in bangkok.
Reply:hey!!!well come to Thailand!!!the best local Marget is J.J. it's weekend market ,but you should prepare your self before go , because very hot and a lot of people ,but everything cheap and nice .you can find local thing there i promise, you can take sky train to there at Mo-chit station.and you will get it!!!open on day time!!and another place is the Emporium,Siam paragon(very popular now!!!)central would(new!!!,very big).the best is J.J.
Reply:Just walk around and get lost. Seriously. Taxi's are so incredibly cheap all you need to do is pick up a business card from your hotel and give it to the driver once you are done shopping. Did this last year and had a blast wandering around side streets and discovering non-touristy shopping areas.
Reply:TALAT JJ!!!!
Reply:You want the ultimate cheap stuff, then you need to go to the sunday market aka Chatuchak, most stores open on friday throughout the weekends only. The best way to get there would be by subway, get off at the train stop thats one stop after "Chatuchak" this will take you to the heart of the sunday market. You will be able to find pretty much everything there. House decor, clothes, art, jewelry...etc
Reply:Besides MBK, there's Pratunam. Wholesale here, so long as you purchased 3 pieces and above. Great selection of garments. Chatuchak (weekends only) is a must-go. I personally like Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Besides the shopping (high quality goods than most of the mentioned places) there's the entertainment part - beer garden with many food stalls, stage for live band and performance and big screens to watch football matches. Travel around Bangkok and you'll see many night markets, especially outside major shopping centers. Enjoy!
Reply:Go to the weekend market. Just ask your hotel for directions. It's HUGE and has everything you can imagine and more. Just get there early before the crowds and the heat.
Reply:Two great places for shopping, besides MBK, are:

Chatuckak market:

http://www.jatujakguide.com/main/index.p...

Platinum Fashion Mall:

http://www.bangkokshoppingcenter.com/ima...
Reply:Good choice to do shopping in Bangkok. You can get many items, so it will be up to your purse. You do not have to worry about carrying them back. You can find courier companies in most of the shopping places to ship back immediately to your home, while you continue shopping.

For starter, the world known Chatuchak Weekend Market. With 90,000 over stalls, you are sure to find what you like and want and more there. Place opens weekends from 9am and close till late for some stalls. Place is big, so good to have a map of the market with you so you can find your exit.

Place is easily accessible by both Skytrain at Mochit Station or the underground train at Chatuchak or Khampaeng Phet Stations. So you can beat the surface traffic jam if you can get to any train station.

If you are not there on weekend, don't despair. The Chatuchak Plaza and local market are open 7 days a week. So there will still be plenty to browse around should you get there.

Another place is the Pratunam Wholesale Center. Here is clothes galore. Especially for the lady. And cheap if you do bulk buy. Prices drop quite a fair bit should you be buying by the dozens. Do not limit to the wholesale center only. Nearby shops do carry better quality clothes or factory over-runs at a slightly higher price, but you get much better items. Just see for yourself.

Street market, you find them around Pratunam wholesale center in the day. In the night, popular ones are at Khao San Rd, Silom Rd and Sukhumvit Rd. You will find similiar items at these night narkets, though sometimes occassional appearance of a passing seller may bring with him unique souvenirs..

Flowers? How about Pak Khlong Flower Market near Saphan Phut. Take a cab there. You get flowers on the cheap. Great if you want your room to smell like one. Opens in the night till dawn.

Shopping centres? Besides MBK Center that you know, nearby are Siam Discovery Center, Siam Square and Siam Paragon. Walk along the street and you get to more malls along the way. Gaysorn Plaza, Central World Plaza, Zen Building, Not enough, take the train to Central Chitlom Department Store. Or further down to E emporium plus other smaller ones in between.

Not enough? Head to Central Department Store at Silom, or Lad Phrao, or Central Bang-na? Central Pinklao? Central Rangsit?

Night time shopping, do not miss Suan Luum Night Bazaar at Lumphini. Almost like Chatuchak at night, it is open 7 days a week. More modern items than the weekend market can be found here.

Also shopping in Chinatown in the day, and eating at night. Not a bad combination.

Let's see, these will set you back about a week of pure shopping, and there are more. But I am not local enough to discover where!

Happy shopping.
Reply:THEY HAVE A INDOOR FLEA MARKET WITH 10,000 VENDORS NOT FAR FROM THE OLD AIRPORT
Reply:Suam Lum night bazaar is good for cheap stuff.
Reply:For Bangkok you can start shopping when you arrive in to the city.Yes! the extreme shopping paradise in new Bangkok Airport.

Have fun.

Shoe shopping - what do you love and hate the most about shoe shopping?

What do you like and don't like about shoe shopping? What do you look for in shoes (colors, fit, comfort, fashion, price, etc.), and in the shoe shopping experience (customer service, fun environment, etc.? Do you usually go shoe shopping on your own or with friends? If there's a magical wand that could solve all your shoe problems or make it even more ideal, what would it be?

Men's clothes shopping etiquette?

What are your thoughts on men's clothes shopping etiquette?

My understanding of the Rules of Procedure for Guys, Chapter 23, Shopping, is as follows:

Men should only shop for clothes alone, or with their girlfriend/wife. However, men may only shop with their girlfriend/wife if and only if they have already exhausted reasonable measures, including guile and trickery, to get the girlfriend/wife to go and do the shopping for them.

Men should never shop with another male, unless it is an emergency situation (such as having stayed over a friends house drunk and being without a change of clothes and one's current clothes are unwearable). Preferably, the other male should only drive the car to the store and wait outside, but if he decides to enter the store for convenience the time should be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes, there should be no requests for an opinion on a purchase, and any request for opinion should be met with, "who the F cares? Pick something and let's go."

Men's clothes shopping etiquette?
Boy I didn't realise it was so complicated. I often shop on my own but I have a fairly good idea in my mind what I want and expect to pay.

When my wife comes with me she often suggests but I like to make the final choice. (or at least she lets me think I do)
Reply:Sound like a winner here. All in favor say "Pizza for a good hardy breakfast"
Reply:Actually, I thought that men hated when their wives/girlfriends picked out their clothes. They always pick the stuff they saw on Oprah or Queer Eye. LOL

Everything else seems fine though.
Reply:This is a case for when Rules need to be broken.

Your shopping habits as far as clading yourself is concerned......?

Pick answer:

1. you are shopping everyday...going broke and have maxed out your credit cards...but you always wear what is trendy and in style...if its not label designer, forget it!

2. you haven't shopped in awhile but you have alot of things accumulated through the years...and u mix and match.

3.some of the things in ur closest still have tags on em...why not ebay it?...make money and buy things i'll actually wear?

4. my things are sooo old, maybe i need to think of getting something new..a shopping spree may get me up to date with the latest styles that is not from the 80s...

5. i love that old HS t shirt.....maybe i'll take out the neck line and add some safety pins...i hate shopping!

6. someone is starting to say i wear the same thing everyday...i need to buy another print by the same designer...

7. i just want to be confortable in my fave shirt....even though it has like a gaping hole on the back...oh well..i like it!

8._____________something else not listed.

Your shopping habits as far as clading yourself is concerned......?
Right now I am #2. But I do like to shop. I am being responsible and getting my stuff all paid off. No more cc's. I do like to shop though. It doesn't have to be designer, I live in a small town. I still shop just not as often and not the amount I was spending. Now I want to go and shop till I drop.

Affordable shopping in rome?

i'm going to rome the third week of january and i'm looking for affordable places to shop for trendy clothes. i like H%26amp;M, but they have that here in america so i don't really want to go six hours to shop in some place i have 10 mins away. (its not a shopping trip, but i'm figuring a full day for shopping?) i'd like to find some place to buy my prom dress, but i don't want to spend more than $150 or 100 euros. is that even possible? i read about stores called upim, coin, and oviesse...are they good? i'm not looking for red carpet showstopping glamor, i just want plain affordable clothes.

Affordable shopping in rome?
Just walk down via del Corso and it's side streets, You can window shop the best and opt for the most affordable, i.e. the best buy, which is rarely the cheapest. There's for all walks of life, from the trendy to the very smart. Beware of poor imitiations from the Far East (love the place but not it's shoddy goods they dump here where I live). Look at the tags and check where they were produced.

€ 100,00 can still get you a decent buy.

Buon divertimento

I am sure that at least some of them will have pictures and prices. Also addresses and phone numbers.

Have a happy trip,

Reply:Monsoon is a great store (a friend of mine bought her prom dress there), but I believe that there is only one in Florence.

La Rinascente is a nice department store--it might be a bit pricey though. The accessories and jewelery there is reasonably priced. Just walk around and you will find plenty of department stores.

Have a great time!

Grocery shopping dilemma?

i only have myseld to shop for. i find that muc more difficult than shopping for a big family because i can't buy in bulk (since i don't have any children to feed, the food will go rotten). so i buy like lots of frozen food dinners and canned meals that won't go rotten. but i still see myself spending more than i should even though i only shop for discounts! i eat like maybe twice a day, one can and one frozen dinner and maybe milk for breakfast. so why do i find myself spending so much??? what should i do to shop more efficiently and make food last longer?

Grocery shopping dilemma?
The best thing you can do is buy in bulk. Meats in family packages can be split up into individual portions. Potatoes can be bought single two or three at a time. Onions can be chopped up and frozen. Can goods never go bad and can be kept for quite a while. Pastas can be Ziploc bags kept for a while as well as rice. Bacon or sausage can be broken up into individual servings and frozen, one bag of salad with cukes, and tomatoes can serve one person for a week before getting brown. Cheese freezes well after being grated. Bread and cake can be frozen it will not freeze completely and can be defrosted in the microwave. This is so much better than the frozen dinners with all the preservatives.
Reply:I shop for 2, which isn't much easier:) I buy packages of steak or chicken breasts; and freeze what I'm not using in freezer bags. I also freeze containers of chili or soup, when I make a bunch of it.... I buy frozen vegetables in bags, instead of boxes, because I can put the other half of the bag into a baggie and freeze it....
Reply:Grocery prices have gone up 20% or more in some areas of the USA in the past year!

How online shopping taxing works in USA?

If I understand properly looking at the FAQ on Amazon website:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/d...

Items sold by Amazon.com LLC, or its subsidiaries, and shipped to destinations in the states of Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, or Washington are subject to tax.

If destination address is different than the states mentioned above then there is no tax. It is related to the physical location of warehouses of Amazon. Does it mean that Kentucky citizens are somehow 'hurt' by such tax and do online shopping in other shops? Around 10% percent for a tax is a pretty high value so doesn't it mean non taxed internet shopping is booming because of it? Does it mean American citizens do more shopping online than in the normal shop to avoid taxing?

How online shopping taxing works in USA?
The way it's supposed to work.....

The courts have ruled that if a mail order or internet firm has a physical presence (“nexus”) within the state it must collect sales taxes.

The way it actually works.....

Many national chains contend that their e-commerce operation is a distinct legal entity, unrelated to their bricks and mortar stores. This practice is known as "entity isolation".

At least six states -- Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Indiana, Louisiana and Minnesota -- have amended their sales tax nexus laws to clarify that entity isolation does not absolve internet retailers of state sales tax obligations. The Multistate Tax Commission has drafted model legislation aimed at entity isolation.

On the other hand, courts in three states -- Ohio, Pennsylvania and Connecticut -- have upheld entity isolation as a means of avoiding state sales taxes.

==========

I wouldn't say that citizens in those states are "hurt" by such tax, because they would pay that same tax if they shopped for those items at their neighborhood stores. (Taxes in my area of the USA (Ohio) are about 7.25%; many states have lower; others higher.) Those citizens would normally compare the total internet price for an item to what it would cost them in their neighborhood. They probably would not compare their total internet price to what it might cost them in another state. So, there is not concept of being "hurt" in that sense. Additionally, many people shop on the internet for the convenience, rather than only looking at the taxes being paid.

Non-taxed internet shopping is booming, of course. What the state of Ohio does is -- on the state income tax form -- ask whether or not you do internet shopping? If you say "yes" then, they ask if you've had any purchases for which you paid no state sales tax? If you say "yes" then, they ask you to calculate how much and pay them the related sales taxes. (Sort of on the "honor system".) I only know one person who says "yes" to both those questions when he files his Ohio state income taxes.

Though shopping online is growing, it is still very, very small compared to non-online shopping.

Bankok shopping?

Hi, im going to bankok in sep. please give me details %26amp; names of all malls, markets and interesting shopping places. I have been to phuket and KL. Im also looking for bead shops %26amp; accessories/ small botique shops??? please help me shopping lovers...

Bankok shopping?
Personally, I think Suan Lum Night Bazaar is better than Chatachuk and it's open every night. There's plenty to see and loads of good pubs as well as a vast beer garden with live music. You can get to it easily by subway or Taxi(most of the cab drivers even know where it is!!) It sure beats traipsing down to Chatachuk but if you want second hand clothes, live animals or authentic dirty food stalls you'll have to make that trek into the weekend Chatachuk market.
Reply:Ohhh - there are so many shopping places.

Get a free map from your hotel, that will show the malls and markets near you.

There are multi-story malls by Siam Square that are packed with hundreds and hundreds of small stalls -- just so many.
Reply:I have just replied to another query. A Thai acquaintance went last month and says Chatuchak is still the best market, and the new subway combined with the sky rail is terrific for travel, as traffic is prohibitive.

BASIC shopping cart question?
i don't recommend any particular shopping cart program. i used to sell one of my own making but it is old an outdated. however, to receive money, you need to also have a credit card processor. there are a number of ways to do this. paypal is a popular one and provides a full shopping cart solution. i have recently started using cybersource as they take almost any payment method and provide me with a number of solutions to offer my clients. i think they also can provide you with shopping cart solutions.
Reply:First things first. You DO need a shopping cart! The next thing you will need is a merchant account. Some companies offer both.

What ever you do make sure you find someone that will help you set up your shopping cart.

If you built your site yourself, there is a great solution for you. You tell this program what you are selling, how much you want to charge, and it creates a code that can be copied and pasted into your site building program in order to create the "Buy Button".

It works great for us, easy to set up:

http://www.omnitranz.com

Click on the eprocessing button in the middle of the page.

Good Luck!
Reply:Sites like PayPal are the easiest way to get into this. Applying for a merchant account is costly and the contracts have terrible terms and per-transaction fees for "small timers".
Reply:You can NOT take money by credit card, you would need to be a registered credit transaction site, you will not get this. You need an arrangement with a recognised credit organisation, they will need to run credit checks on you before they accept your transactions. They also charge quite heavily for this. You must not take any details of the card, bank or anything else that may be used for identity theft. You need to pass the order information to the credit agent by redirecting the browser. The agent will have a secure site, and will tell you what information they want your re-direct to pass.

Is shopping (for women) like what sports are to most men? And what exactly is "Power Shopping"? At what age

did you 1st get the "shopping bug" or what is it that makes you know it's time to go shopping? Are you taught by your mums, sisters and other female peers or is it the adverts on the telly? Why do you think guys don't get into shopping as much as girls do?

Is shopping (for women) like what sports are to most men? And what exactly is "Power Shopping"? At what age
The shopping bug is mainly based around women and the urge and temptation to spend, spend and spend..though its also seen as buy, buy, bye..and even blokes can have the same tendancies too. However, men know when the game is over, women just carry on regardless.

How to pass shopping Items to PayPal from a 3rd party shopping cart.?

Hi,

I have an ASP .Net e-business site that is built using DNN 2.0. I am having troubles passing my shopping cart items to PayPal. I implemented a total paynow button, but it was not good enough for my customer. I found some PayPal ASP.Net controls to be used with .net studio.

Basically, I want the user to be able to shop on my website, add items to my shopping cart and at the checkout to be taken to the PayPal website. I would like the user to have all the checked out item listing there on PayPal, so that when the payment confirmation e-mail is sent from paypal, the full purchased Item list is included in the e-mail.

I looked through numerous posts as well as the paypal documentation. Nowhere I was able to find any snippets of code or useful information on passing shopping Items to PayPal from a 3rd party shopping cart.

Could anyone please help me with this ? Code snippets or any useful information would be appreciated on this subject. VB.net would be ideal...

Thanks in advance

How to pass shopping Items to PayPal from a 3rd party shopping cart.?
this site talks about "Building an ASP.NET Storefront with PayPal" http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_zd...

It tells you how to get paypal to manage your shopping cart for you.

You might have some work to do since you are using a third party cart, but you should be able to add/remove items from both carts at the same time.

feel free to email me if you still need some help.
Reply:I can give you a link that deals with Payapl %26amp; Ebay transactions through Paypal. You will bget here what you wanted. PayPal is one of the most popular online money transfer systems widely used for online auctions, pay to surf programs, e-books and purchase of low value goods. It is now a part of the online auction website eBay. More details available at

Why is supermarket shopping so expensive?

I live in London, but im sure its the same anywhere in the UK.

Why is shopping becoming so expensive, i shop at sainsburys tesco or Morrisons, but they are basically similar in price, Asda which is cheap is miles away.

i can't live without spending about £50.00 a week on shopping, thats budgeting aswel, 5 years ago you could buy enough food for the week, but now MOST things in supermarkets are over £3.00, for 1 item, ie micro meal, fish, meat, enough veg, and drinks, (over £2.50 for a fizzy fruit drink) all the basic makes sainsburys do are really discusting to taste, i find it hard to suvive in this current situation.

Why is supermarket shopping so expensive?
It's a problem here in the US also.

Oil/gas is to expensive, it's making everything go up in price.
Reply:It is all because of the government with fuel prices and what not...More fuel used drives up the cost of everything.
Reply:I live in the USA and everything is going up, except my paycheck.
Reply:The cost of gas (in the U.S) is so high now everyone from the farmer to the person who delivers the food to the store is effected. It just cost more to do everything. I try to buy non-processed foods and family packs, then I break them down into smaller packages and freeze them. We don't really need to gorge ourselves on larger servings either, so I make sides to help fill up rather than a huge piece of fish or meat. Sides are cheaper.
Reply:Get use to it. And try to keep your head above water. Good luck!
Reply:I heard a news report that said food is going up because of the rising middle class in China, they are making more money and demanding more food. They can afford it. I started thinking, the economy of China has improved, for a few years now, its been good to invest in China, people made a lot of money with these investments, but this is how it will negatively effect us all. If people are moving to Middle class there, there are going to be fewer people working for less money, and that is going to directly effect all of us, who are used to paying little for products, because the cost of hiring the worker is so low. Think of all the loss of cheap labor, prices of not only food, but other products made in China will also start to go up. Then I think, if prices go up, companies in China, and everywhere, will start laying off people. They wont be able to pay all their bills because people will stop buying as much. I guess its the basic principles of economics, but the changes in Europe and the United States, are the direct result of the changes in China.
Reply:i moved to london from the us and the prices are scary :)

on a more serious note i do run a discount codes website and we have Tesco vouchers http://www.codes-vouchers.com/index.php/...

and Ocado vouchers - http://www.codes-vouchers.com/index.php/... Also, ocado have times when they deliver for free.

Also tesco has price match so i think they will match this voucher code in store. in the rare case one of the discounts doesn't work for you or you want a particular store's discount email me and i'll try to get it for you.
Reply:It might be like in the United States, the gas goes up the shipment by truck goes up, the the farmers raise there price's, the taxes go up, The corporations and private company's, are ripping all the free country's off, the military costs go up , We need to let the governments know we are fed up with the high price's, and give us all higher wages, we are only going to spend it back into our economy's .
Reply:The price of food is going up daily almost. Nearly everything has been affected and it isn't just a problem in the UK, but world wide.
Reply:it's expensive because oil prices are high, which means gasoline prices are high, which means it costs more to run trucks that ship food everywhere and the food companies still want to make a profit, so they have to charge more to cover the rising gas prices!

Is shopping a necessity???

i dont see the logic in girls shopping once in a while even if sometimes they need to save. my dad said that i should just accpt it bcos, girls cant live without spending money on clothes, shoes, etc. is shopping really a need for girls to do once a week or twice? even if they really dont need to shop cos they have a lot of "stocks" in their closet ??

would a girl be stupid or "nerdy" if she doesnt shop once a month??

ladies, i need an explanation!!!hahaha:D thanks

Is shopping a necessity???
It's not true that all girls like shopping... a lot of us do, but I hate it -even clothes shopping, I'll put it off as long as I can, then run to the store at a quiet time and buy what I really need. And I'm not the only one, often women don't like to say it because they don't want to be seen as odd or weird, but I'm not easily embarrassed by such things and I have mentioned I disliked it when shopping came up in conversation... over the years, I've heard from quite a few women (still a minority, but far more than I had first expected) things like 'so I'm not the only one who feels that way!' or 'whew, finally someone who understands!'.

I sort of like to shop at book stores, fair trade centers (ethnic products, gifts), art/craft shops, %26amp; sometimes at the charity store, but I only go to those a few times a year too, and when I actually need something... that's enough for me!
Reply:I persnoally don't understand it either and i'm a girl!

i havn't been shopping since jan/feb because it was my birthday. (:

my friend goes shopping like EVERY weekend, and i think its because she is boring.

she dosnt do ANY clubs or hobbies or play an instrument or anything and so she goes out spending money so she has something to do at the weekend?!

not everybody shops all weekend. i dont %26amp; i'm not a nerd!!
Reply:i agree with you... i dont see why they need to shop so much... on the contrary, i cant live without shopping, haha.
Reply:it's not stupid for someone to not go shopping once a month.

but girls like shopping. like it's fun!!! i go like once a week!!

help with mine:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
Reply:its not necessay at all, I am a girl and I really hate shopping. I only go when I need some new clothes.
Reply:I think it's like therapy.. I don't really go shopping often when I'm at college because I don't have the means. But when I'm home, I like to go shopping often. It's like therapy.. It makes you feel better to buy something, especially if you get a good deal. It also makes you feel better about your wardrobe. I hate when everyone knows all of the clothes that I have and I've got nothing new. When I have a couple new items, it energizes my wardrobe or shoe collection or accessories.. It's like having a collection. And you can't just buy cheap things, or it's not a very good collection. It's best to have your favorite brands and lots of different styles to fit your mood.
Reply:yeah it is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry important
Reply:a girl can shop as little more as much as she pleases. I don't think she should not pay her bills just so she can buy new shoes... but except for that kind of extreme I don't see anything wrong with it. Some girls shop more than others.. personally I go through phases.

My husband doesn't quite get it either :)
Reply:Shopping is therapy.

Shopping makes a lot of girls happy and maybe we're just a bit materialistic.

Because I like having a lot of clothes and shoes and the ones that I do like cost a lot.

I also get bored with my clothes pretty frequently so I have to go buy something new to shake up my wardrobe.

Also, fashion changes pretty frequently so some girls feel like they have to shop constantly to keep up with the latest trend.
Reply:I don't think they would be nerdy because some people can't afford to do that. I can admit I go shopping every friday with my friends but I think that's okay. It's just my opinion.
Reply:lol no its not a neccasary thing to do but we like it cuz it makes us feel like we can do anything ( or thats just me ) :D hope you understand us non-stoping shopping girlz!!
Reply:lol no. it's just something we do to hav fun! sorta like hanging out or well whatever u guys do. Idk, its not like rlly rlly important. and as much as i hate 2 think about it, in my school if u dont havthe most fashionable clothes for ur particular style u r sorta considered a dork.
Reply:"would a girl be stupid or "nerdy" if she doesnt shop once a month??"

i think this explains why you need someone to explain to you. please use some logic before you ask something like this.
Reply:well since i shop like once or twice a week like almost RELIGIOUSLY i would say that it is a necessity and i mean i am also doing a VERY good thing by shopping, if i shop i get new clothes and that means i can donate my old ones to GOOD WILL!
