For those that go shopping with or take your mum shopping?

Does she ever do something that is so embarrasing that you feel like walking away from her? do tell.

I took my mum shopping today, we went to a fruit shop where she filled a bag with plums, i turned around and as we were walking around in the shop she was just casually eating the fruit from the bag, i told her if she didn't stop it i would never take her shopping again. oh, at that stage the fruit was not paid for.

Ahhhh don't be so hard on her. She could probably tell you more embarrassing things you did around her when you were a child. For instance, one day, shopping in a busy grocery store, I had no choice but to go in even though, I left my car window down during a thunderstorm, and my bottom was wet. My son at 4years old blurted out in the store... mom! you pee'd your pants!!! oly cow ! The people in the store didn't know that I left my window open !!! They too, thought I Pee'd my pants ! When I take my son shopping with me, I never have trouble with the I want this and I want that, I'm hungry..... I go to the bakery or the deli and just buy what I need. The sticker on the bag has the pound and dollar amount. I then let him have a cookie or a slice of cheese. I am still paying for the whole amount. I do mention to the clerk, is it ok if he has a piece now? They don't care. I would just suggest to you, if she needs to eat that fruit right then and there, walk over to the check out and pay for it. Join your mother again and let her. Back in the day it was normal for my elders to try the fruit before they paid for it. It says sweet? It better be! You can also go to the produce manager and ask to sample the fruit or veggies before you buy them. I know because I worked at Festival Foods and we had many elders doing this, and if it is a good store, they will allow you to sample.

Reply:Not my mum, but my granny. She uses one of those battery operated wheel chairs and she is notorious for knocking shelves over. She does a hit and wheel. I am always trying to pick up what she knocks down.
