Shopping for the holidays?

I am so unmotivated for the holidays..I still have shopping to do..I don't know what to get certain people and it is too late to do internet shopping...I dread going out to public places to shop I really rather just sit here on my computer and read and find out more interesting things right at home... I need to clean my house and finish my kitchen...but no motivation? What should I do first? Any suggestions...would greatly appreciate it..Thank you in advance for your response.

Shopping for the holidays?
you can do one of two things drink a red bull or smoke some rock, either will give you the energy you need..
Reply:Go finish your shopping first. The housework will still be there when you get home but things are getting picked over in the stores and that special gift might disappear. If it is too late today to go out shopping then do some housework and go shopping first thing in the morning. Once you get in the stores and see all the Christmas lights and decos you'll get in the mood for it.
Reply:Go to your nearest WalMart and knock out the shopping, then come home and clean house.

Then put your legs up, sip some cocoa and enjoy the holidays!

Or holidaze...........
Reply:Hit a grocery store and just get a bunch of gift certificates.

It's quick and easy!
Reply:Make a list and then just go! I did that early today so the masses of people weren't too bad. Then wrap everything and then put on something comfortable, poor yourself a glass of wine (if you're old enough), put on some music and start cleaning. By the time you get to your 3rd glass (again, if you're old enough), you'll be having fun cleaning your kitchen! LOL

I still have about 2 bottles of cleaning to do...
Reply:I feel the same way!

my house is a total mess, there is a turkey sitting in the deep freeze i don't even wanna look at let alone think about the big fussy meal to go with it..

and shopping?? ho ha

so today, i bit the bullet. I made a list of everything i needed to get..and grabbed my son, and finished off xmas shopping.

now i'm sitting here, answering you while i avoid the housework

lol

i'm breaking it down into small manageable steps.

tackle the kitchen..mom always said, if your dishes are done and put away the whole house looks clean

well, i don't know how true that is..but if you get the kitchen out of the way..take a break! that's a big job right there..and once it's done..it's motivating. i just did the kitchen and bathroom, but i have 4 cat boxes, and 1 4 cages to clean..

not to mention tidying up..laundry..

but don't think about it, just do it.

can u treat yourself while your out shopping? i mean, like get so much done, and stop for a nice..mmm moccachino?? then you'll be riding the coffee high to get the rest done.

good luck, and happy holidays:)
Reply:Get in th Christmas Spirit lighten up a bit then go get a Christmas tree decorate it clean up the house and before you o to sleep when you are relaxed think about what to give your family/friends. Think also what they enjoy doing and think of a gift related to that subject.
Reply:Get up, put one foot in front of the other and get it done. Procrastination is my worst enemy so I've learned to do this. You'll be glad when it's over and you can do nothing.
Reply:Do these stuff with a friend or watever.
Reply:Clean your house then get yourself ready to go out for shopping and if you have friends you should take them so it wouldn't be boring.
Reply:Holiday means Holy.

That being the case %26amp; the fact that everyone should automatically put on a happy face %26amp; say things like Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday's, when in fact: Christmas time is the most miserable time!!

For people are made to feel by the world that they should enjoy the holidays, when there is nothing further from the truth. People are so miserable around this time, because they feel like they should keep up with the jone's %26amp; buy things they can't afford.

This is a time of year when many people have had enough, %26amp; completely give up on celebrating this kind of thing: which I do not blame anyone one bit for this.

On the other side of the coin, this is the time of year that so many people commit suicide.

To celebrate Christs Birth %26amp; to celebrate Christmas, doesn't make sence. Mass means death, so why celebrate Christmas? Is it about Christ, or Santa, or Pagan holidays? How shall we make Merry, when there is nothing happy about this holiday?

If holiday means holi, why do we say that It's a Pagan Holiday? Because, Satan wants people to believe he is holi. What is Satan spelled backwards? Santa.

The Bible doesn't say when Jesus is born for a reason. Because Jesus doesn't want you to celebrate a Pagan holiday made into a Christian holiday. *I myself do not celebrate Christmas for these reasons.* There is even a Bible verse or a few, enough to tell you not to celebrate the traditions of men.

If you choose to celebrate it, it is up to you. If you do celebrate it, then look on line to shop: you'd have to deal with less uptight people.
Reply:I don't think its fair that people get all stressed out over the holiday. That isn't what is about! I think its about spending time together and enjoying each others company.

I think you should treat yourself to something that will cheer you up, and have a good time with your chores and errands. I like to clean my house first thing in the morning to loud music and a good cup of coffee or at the end of my day to music and a glass of wine.

When shopping for others window shop for yourself too.. Don't rush yourself. Did you know in Las Vegas its legal to drink in the mall? Add a little rum to your egg nog!

I like to stop in jewelry stores and try on some piece of jewelry. Stand under lots of mistletoe, sing a Christmas carol, and Most of all have a good time and relax! Merry Christmas!
