My local Nordstrom, Home Depot, Saks, Target, Blockbuster Video, and most small shops allow my small dog. I usually carry her, so it's not like she's touching anything other than me. Saks and Nordstrom have no problems with me walking her around the store.





Many of the local restaurants with patios also allow my dog on the patio - if she stays on my lap and does not wander around.
Reply:I don't know about Canada. Where I live is very dog friendly in general, so it makes it easy. And yes, my dog is very quiet and gentle when we hold her. Unless you see her, you don't even know she's there. Report It

Reply:always when i go to outlet malls because where i live pets are allowed in the stores but never to an indoor mall

Once, I tried sneaking a 2 pound Dachshund puppy into Walmart. Their stupid store grereter, who should've went to college, yelled over it, saying, "There's food in this store." Right.....and a 2 pound puppy is going to be able to reach your shelves? Uh huh.





Home Depot is a good place to bring your pets into.





I know of one person who managed to take 3 of her Shelties into Target (they were in a Target basket, mind you)





I don't know of a single grocery store that allows pets, outside of guide dogs, and the only reason they allow guide dogs is it's illegal for them not to, and they can get sued in this great land of ours. :D





Petsmart, Petco, and obviously, any pet store is pet-friendly. They do usually ask your dog be on a leash.





There are some local restaurants (Carmel, CA) who actually have doggie menu's. Bring your dog and dine together.

i have a huge german shepard. he wont fit in a bag like everyone elses dog.


maybe to petco or something. but most of the time he is in the backyard like normal dogs! not being treated like an accessory for yourself.

Reply:I take mine to Sonic they sit in the car with me,Home depot,and Petco and Petsmart. Thats the only places they allow dogs.
Reply:Only allowed in pet stores in the UK.
Reply:I don't take either one of my dogs shopping or to the mall.
Reply:I train my dogs as therapy dog prospects (one is already a certified therapy dog), so they get lots of exposure but we only go into stores where I know it is allowed: local pet stores, smaller hardware stores, feed stores, Lowe's, Sonic Drive in, etc.
