Hi, im going to bankok in sep. please give me details %26amp; names of all malls, markets and interesting shopping places. I have been to phuket and KL. Im also looking for bead shops %26amp; accessories/ small botique shops??? please help me shopping lovers...
Bankok shopping?
Personally, I think Suan Lum Night Bazaar is better than Chatachuk and it's open every night. There's plenty to see and loads of good pubs as well as a vast beer garden with live music. You can get to it easily by subway or Taxi(most of the cab drivers even know where it is!!) It sure beats traipsing down to Chatachuk but if you want second hand clothes, live animals or authentic dirty food stalls you'll have to make that trek into the weekend Chatachuk market.
Reply:Ohhh - there are so many shopping places.
Get a free map from your hotel, that will show the malls and markets near you.
There are multi-story malls by Siam Square that are packed with hundreds and hundreds of small stalls -- just so many.
Reply:I have just replied to another query. A Thai acquaintance went last month and says Chatuchak is still the best market, and the new subway combined with the sky rail is terrific for travel, as traffic is prohibitive.
