hey-- i have a question. obviously. this weekend me and my three bestfriends are going shopping for my friend (taylors bday).
we are going to stonebriar mall. (you can google it) and my parents are giving me $money$ but i dont know how much to ask for. i asked them for $400.00 and they said no. how much should i ask for??
please, no lame answers like "earn your own money" or "stop depending on your mom %26amp; dad". keep your rude, and selfish comments to yourself.

Shopping!?
I really want to go shoppinh tomorrow with my best friend but I have no money. I went shopping last weeek and my mom let me take out some money from the bank but she wond let me this week :( What can I do to make money by tomorrow without doing chores around the house cuz my mom would pay me like 1 dollar to clean a room!?

Your mother is the authority, not you. You cannot choose when to take money out for your purposes. Second, nothing is free. If your mother expects you to do chores around the house, so be it. If you don't have enough money, you'll just have to wait. Another option is babysitting tonight. Find someone who needs care for their child. It's a good experience and you'll be making money in the process.

Reply:I think you should manage your money a little better - if you don't eat at supermacs but get a salad someplace else you might pay a little more but breaking the supermacs habit will make you feel (and possibly look) better in the long run. The clue is in the name, dear - supermacs is junk food.
Buy some nice costume jewellery. Only buy what you love.

If you are shopping for something casual try a babydoll or empire shirt with leggings. You could rewear that shirt many times, to dress it up you could wear jeans and maybe a nice short necklace. If it's long enough you could even wear panty hose and wear it as a dress. This way you could get something more expensive to wear a few times rather than something cheap that you'll wear once.

cardigans, older looking ones
the "guy" look...button up shirts
trench coats in patterns or neutrals
sweater dresses
metallics
jewel tones, esp. in silk

footless tights
opaque tights

knee high socks
legwarmers
basically it's back to 80's.
And try the teenvogue.com forums...the talking fashion one will have all kinds of help on this stuff and ideas for stores. If you have an H%26amp;M near you, go there! It's like Forever 21 but higher quality, the stuff is gorgg.

ross is one of those discount stores that no ones knows about so it doesnt have much of any kind of reputation. the bigger discounters like tj maxx, and marshalls we know because they advertise. i have been a few ross around the country and although they look ugly inside i have bought some GREAT designer shoes and clothes over there -- u should shop there -- but keep it a secret!!

Reply:just go to a thrift store, they have a bunch of things, and they're different, not just the usual Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, etc. that everyone wears...there are a lot of brand name clothes, too, however.......whatever you're looking for, it's fun to just look through all the different things they have, you can find a lot of good stuff and it's very very cheap
